4022 vacancies for the position of Constables in the Jammu and Kashmir Police

Jammu, February 19: In a significant move aimed at bolstering the law enforcement capabilities and ensuring the safety of the people of the region, the Home Department has taken the proactive step of referring 4022 vacancies for the position of Constables in the Jammu and Kashmir Police to the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB).

The decision to fill these vacancies underscores the government's unwavering commitment to reinforcing the vital security forces within the region by strengthening the ranks of the constabulary. These vacancies, last announced in the year 2019, will play a pivotal role in augmenting the operational readiness and delivery mechanisms of the J&K Police.

The breakdown of the 4022 vacancies is as follows: 

1689 vacancies for Constables (J&K Armed and IRP),

100 vacancies for Constable SDRF,

502 vacancies for Constable (Telecom),

20 vacancies for Constable (Driver),

22 vacancies for Constable (Photography) under the UT cadre,

Additionally, there are 1689 vacancies for Constable Executive Police in the divisional cadre, with 1249 posts allocated for Jammu and 440 for Kashmir.
