JKSSB Exam Delay: Panchayat Secretary Charge to PAA
Charge of Panchayat Secretary to the Accounts Assistant (Panchayat).
Sir,
Due to acute shortage of Panchayat Secretaries at the panchayat level and recruitment delays from SSB, and in order to streamline the functioning of panchayats where Panchayat Secretaries are having 2-3 panchayats under their charge, Director, Rural Development Department, Jammu/Kashmir, are hereby directed to assign the charge of Panchayat Secretary to newly appointed Panchayat Accounts Assistant in addition to their own work in their respective panchayats.
This rationalization exercise shall be done at both the Directorates, and while doing the rationalization, principles laid down in the Policy with regard to transfer and posting of panchayat secretaries, issued by the department via Govt. Order No. 291-JK (RD&PR) of 2022 dated 18.10.2022, shall be strictly followed, to ensure that no Panchayat Secretary/PAA is posted in his home panchayat, certified as per his/her Service Book.
This arrangement is purely on the basis of exigency and will last till further orders/till the recruitment of Panchayat Secretary is made by the SSB.
The compliance in this behalf should be furnished to the administrative department within a period of 15 days positively from the date of issuance of this order.
