The Staff Selection Commission will hold a competitive examination for the recruitment of Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission), a General Central Service Group 'C' Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Ministries/Departments/Offices of the Government of India and various Constitutional Bodies/Statutory Bodies/Tribunals, etc., in different States/Union Territories. The examination will also be held for the recruitment of Havaldar (in Pay Level-1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission), a General Central Service Group 'C' Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) and Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN) under the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance.

Important Dates: 

Dates for submission of online applications: 30-06-2023 to 21-07-2023.

Last date and time for receipt of online applications: 21-07-2023 (23:00).

Last date and time for making online fee payment: 22-07-2023 (23:00).

Last date and time for generation of offline Challan: 23-07-2023 (23:00).

Last date for payment through Challan (during working hours of Bank): 24-07-2023.

Dates of "Window for Application Form Correction" and online payment of Correction Charges: 26-07-2023 to 28-07-2023 (23:00).

Schedule of Computer Based Examination: September, 2023.

Reservation:

Reservation will be provided for the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Ex-servicemen (ESM), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), etc., as per extant Govt. Orders.

The Commission makes the selection of candidates in accordance with the vacancies reported by the User Departments for various posts. The Commission does not have any role in deciding the number of vacancies of any User Department. Implementation of reservation policy, maintaining reservation roster, and earmarking of vacancies for different categories are under the domain of the User Departments.

Age Limit (As on 01-08-2023):

The crucial date for age reckoning is fixed as 01-08-2023 in accordance with the provisions of DoP&T OM No. 140l7/70/87-Estt.(RR) dated 14-07-1988. The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:

18-25 years (i.e., candidates born not before 02.08.1998 and not later than 01.08.2005) for MTS and Havaldar in CBN (Department of Revenue).

18-27 years (i.e., candidates born not before 02.08.1996 and not later than 01.08.2005) for Havaldar in CBIC (Department of Revenue) and few posts of MTS.

Age Relaxation:

Essential Educational Qualifications (As on 01-08-2023):

The candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board on or before the cut-off date, i.e., 01-08-2023.

As per the Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification dated 10-06-2015, published in the Gazette of India, all degrees/diplomas/certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode of education by the Universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, and Institutions of National Importance declared under an Act of Parliament, are automatically recognized for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the Central Government, provided they have been approved by the Distance Education Bureau, University Grants Commission. Accordingly, unless such degrees are recognized for the relevant period when the candidates acquired the qualification, they will not be accepted for the purpose of Educational Qualification.
