India died in 1947 in Korea district, Chhattisgarh

declared extinct from India in 1952.
Cheetah has lost 90 %
of its global habitat in the last 100 years.
Cheetahs were broght in
Boeing 747-400 aircraft from Namibia’s capital Windhoek
Arrived in Gwalior
Then shifted by Indian Air Force (IAF) Chinook
heavy-lift helicopter to KNP.
The cheetah has gone
extinct in several countries due to human activity.
Leopards have preyed on
cheetahs in Africa.
Similar fears are being
expressed for Kuno National Park.
Around 50 leopards are
housed aroaund KNP.
Accoding to a reseach,
cheetahs found in Africa’s Kgalagadi Park showed that cubs of these cheetahs
have only 36 % chance of survival.
The cheetah is also the
world’s fastest land mammal that lives in Africa and Asia.
