Function Keys

    MS Word,  MS Excel,  MS PowerPoint

F1 to access online Help or the Office Assistant

F2 to move text or graphics

F3 to insert an AutoText entry (after Word displays the entry)

F4 to repeat the last action

F5 to choose the Go To command (Edit menu)

F6 to go to next pane or frame

F7 to launch the Spelling and Grammar check

F8 to extend a selection

F9 to update selected fields

F10 to activate the Menu Bar

F11 to go to the next field

F12 to choose the Save As command (File menu)

 

Function  Keys in MS Excel

 

F1       Opens Excel Help

F1       Opens Excel Help

F3       Paste Named Range or Named List

F4       Toggles between cell references – Absolute, Relative and Mixed Reference.

            Also repeats last action performed in workbook.

F6       Switch between the panes of an excel workbook if you have a split window.

            If not switches between help task pane and application window.

F7       Opens the "Spelling" option

F8       Enables and disables "Extend Mode" selection

F9       Recalculates the output of all formulas in your excel workbook.

             If editing a cell having formula then replaces the value of the formula in cell.

F10     Displays the keyboard shortcut for the excel ribbon

 

F11     Adds a chart to your excel.

F12     Opens "Save As" dialog box

 

Function Keys in MS PowerPoint

 

F1 displays the help menu

F2 cycles between selecting the text for editing and selecting the object itself for moving or formatting.

F4: Repeat your last action

F5: Begin a slideshow with your active presentation

F6: Move between the Ribbon, worksheet, tabs, and status bar.

F7: spelling and grammar check.

F10: Turn key tips on or off.

F12: Open the Save As window.
